TSC Efforts to Scrap P1 Trainings as it Advocates Employment of Teachers with Diploma In PTE .
The Teachers Servive Commission through the Ministry of Education has a drafted a road map of scrapping the Certificate in Primary Teachers Training instead the government is advocating for Diploma in Primary Training Education.
In the subsequent employment the government will consider the teachers with DPTE who will teach grade 1-6.
Recently the government advised the teachers who had done Certificate in primary Training to enhance their skills by going in for a one year training and thus attaining the DPTE. Almost 25000 teachers enrolled .
Further the teachers who have trained as P1 teachers and have advanced to Diploma training will have an advantage of 10 marks in the subsequent employment therefore it will be a hard task for those with P1 Certificates to get employed .
