First term began on 26/7/2021 and closing date is scheduled to take place on 01/10/2021. The first term will take approximately 10 weeks . The mid-term break of the term just ended on 29/8/2021 for 3 days from 26/8/2021.
The first term holiday will start on 02/10/2021 and it will end on 10/10/2021,it will approximately take one week .
The second term will start on 11/10/2021 and it will end 23/12/2021. The term will take atleast 11 weeks. The term will end on 24/12/2022 for Christmas and holiday break for only 10 days.
The third term will start on 3/01/2022 and it’s set to end on 4/3/2022. The term is scheduled to last for 9 weeks.
It’s normally the shortest term because the academic year comes to an end for preparation of National exams both Kenya Certificate and Primary Examination(KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE).
KCPE will start on 7/3/2022 and end at 10/3/2022. The examination normally lasts for 4 days ,Day one is normally meant for rehearsals, Day two the pupils sits for Mathematics, English and in the afternoon English composition, Day two the pupils sits for Science,Kiswahili and Kiswahili insha and the last day they sit for Social studies and Religion. Thereafter the marking for Kiswahili insha and English composition will commence at various centres.
Kenya Certificate and Secondary Examination will start on 11/3/2022 and it will end on 1/4/2022. The examination will last for atleast 3weeks and one day . Thereafter marking will commence on 4/4/2022 and end on 22/4/2022 for atleast 2weeks.
The Academic year is considered to be the so busy since there will be shorter holidays with squeezed term dates .These was due to the effects of Corona pandemic that led to the closure of schools .
