SRC gazettes Salaries for the Speaker,Deputy Speaker and MCAs of the County Assembly.
Most recently the County Assemblies have been having a beehive of activities after the conclusion of the last elections.
As the norm dictates the first business of the County Assemblies after swearing in is to elect the Speaker and the Deputy speakers of the County Assemblies.
The County Speaker is in charge of the County Assembly and he or she is in charge of the Assembly business and motions ,he ensures that the welfare of the Members of the County Assembly and staff is taken care of . He or she presides over the house business .
The Speaker earns a basic Salary of 315,315,A house allowance of 80,000 ,Salary adjustment of 130,210.The Speakers of the Assembly earn a Gross of 525,525.
The Deputy Speaker of the County Assemblies takes Over in the absence of the Speakers ,he or she performs all the functions of the Speaker in his or her absentia. He earns a basic Salary of 129,938,House allowance of 60000,he also got a salary adjustment of 26,625,the Deputy Speaker earns a Gross salary of 216,563.
The Members of the County Assembly performs the roles of legislation, oversight and representation of their respective wards. They are entitled to a basic Salary of 86,625,a house allowance of 45,000,a salary adjustment of 12,750 , Gross salary of 144,375.
