The school calendar are likely to revert back normally in January,2023 . These is after the school calender was disrupted due to Covid -19 pandemic .
Below is the revised calendar for schools and colleges .
Pre-primary ,Primary and Secondary schools.
Term 1 2023
The opening for Term one will be 23rd January 2023 and closing dates will be 21st April 2023 a duration of 13 weeks .
The Half Term break will start on 23rd March 2023 and end on 26th March 2023 a duration of 3 days .
The Holiday will for First term will start on 22nd April 2023 and end on 7th May 2023 a duration of 2 weeks .
Second Term 2023.
The Second Term will commence on 8th May 2023 and closing date will be 11th August 2023 a duration of 13 weeks .
The Half Term break will commence on 29th June 2023 and end on 2nd July 2023 a 3 days break.
The Holiday for the second term will commence on 12th August 2023 and end on 27th August 2023 , A 2 weeks holiday break.
Term 3 2023
The 3rd term will commence on 28th August 2023 and end on 3rd November 2023 ,the term will take approximately 10 weeks before the start of National Examinations.
The KCPE Examinations will Commence in 6th November 2023 and end on 9th November 2023 a duration of 4 days .
KCSE Examinations will commence on 10th November 2023 and end on 1st December 2023 a duration of 3 weeks .

Term one
Opening will be on 29th August 2022 and closing will be on 2nd December 2022 a duration of 14 weeks .
Term 2 will start on 23rd January 2023 and end on 21st April 2023 a duration of 13 weeks.
The Holiday will start on 22nd April 2023 and end on 7th May 2023 thus taking 2 weeks .
The 3rd term will commence on 8th May 2023 and end on 11th August 2023 a duration of 13 weeks.
The Holiday for 3rd term will commence on 12th August 2023 and end on 1st September 2023 a duration of 3 weeks .
Term one will start on 4th September 2023 and end on 18th November 2023 a duration of 12 weeks .
The long holiday will commence on 19th November 2023 and end on 31st December 2023 a duration of 6 weeks .
