PASSPORT GUIDELINE FOR GREEN CARD APPLICATION
✓ Not old than 6months.
✓ Must display your current look.
✓ Passport must be taken against the light.
✓ Passport must be taken on a plain background preferably White background.
✓ Background must be bright and neutral.
✓ Face the camera directly.
✓ Head must be centered and completely visible and should be 50% – 69%, total height of the photo..
✓ Eyes must be fully opened, clearly visible, must face the camera.
✓ Facial expression must be neutral, avoid smiling.
✓ Head coverings not permitted; caps, scarves..etc
But for religious reasons is an exception case where upon covering the face must be visible from forehead to chin to avoid disqualification.
✓ No glasses are allowed to be worn in the passport photo rule since 1 November 2016.
✓ Your passport must be colored min depth of 24bits Black and white not allowed
✓ The Photo must be correctly illuminated should not be over exposed or under exposed , no shadows.
✓ Avoid Editing the photo as it may change the face and head shape.
✓ The photo should be atleast 600×600 to a maximum of 1200×1200 pixels in size and does not exeed 240KB.
✓ Your photo must be in JPG format.
✓ Scanned photos must be scanned with a resolution of 300dpi . No scanning dots should be visible.
