The Ministry of Education and State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education has directed all County Directors to organize an orientation of grades 1,2 and 3 teachers on the revised English and Kiswahili Designs and instructional materials.
The training will be sponsored by the State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education together with Kenya Institute and Curriculum Development with financial support from USAID .
The Ministry of Education has therefore requested all the County Directors to sensitize field officers on the revised curriculum design and course books in May ,2022 .
This therefore calls the same to be inculcated to teachers of grades 1,2 and 3 from all public schools.
The orientation should take place between 19th to 23rd September 2022 during the school break. The lead trainers should prepare a Zonal training schedule for all the zones in the respective Counties.
The Ministry of Education through a circular send to all Regional Commissioners and County Directors are requested to organize the training venues and invite the teachers for the same. The County Directors are also requested to ensure the orientation is effectively done.
