Kenya National Examination Council recently advertised for the training of teachers who will eventually become Examiners. It therefore means the Examiners will be engaged by KNEC in the marking of National Examination when need arises.
Kuppet Migori county Branch has shown interest of sponsoring atleast 40 teachers who will be selected for the training in the year 2021.
For one to qualify for the sponsorship he or she must be a member of the union at the Branch of Migori. In a circular seen the applicants must attach a payslip as evidence of membership.
One must also have been shortlisted by Kenya National Examination Council for the training. It therefore means the applicants will attach the invitation letters from KNEC and even text messages send by the body. The applications will start as soon as KNEC releases successful applicants .
Migori County Kuppet branch has advised the applicants to address there applications to the scholarship committee at the Branch office or any Union official at their reach during normal working hours . The successful applicants who will be considered for the award will be contacted.
The training is scheduled to take place between 3rd and 9th october 2021 when the schools will be closing for end of the first term holiday. The venues of the training will be communicated when the body will release the list of successful applicants who will qualify for the training. The venues are normally centralized at Nairobi county for proper coordination of the exercise by KNEC.
The application fee is normally 10500 which will cater for the training and meals. It’s therefore a sigh of relief for the members of Kuppet if they sponsor their members with the training fees and other logistics.
Members of various Kuppet Union Branches across the country have supported the initiative. They are urging other branches to follow suit since it will be a milestone for Kuppet members.
