Kisii University will be having its 9th graduation ceremony on 3rd September 2021. The ceremony will be Virtual due to the Health protocols imposed by the Ministry of Health due to the surge of Covid-19 pandemic.
The University of the 21st century will be having a total number of 1369 graduands graduating from various faculty disciplines as per the names cleared by the University Senate.
The faculty of Education and Human Resource Development has the highest graduands a total of 557 across the cadres ,The faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management is the second one with a total of number of 226,The faculty of Business and Economics is third with a total number of 208 graduands,Information Science and Technology has 110 graduands ,Arts and social sciences has 91 graduands,Health Science 86 ,Pure and applied Sciences 67.
So far various Universities have registered fewer number of PhD graduands ,Kisii University will have a 4 graduating from the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural resource with Doctorate, Information Science has one,Arts and Social Science has 5 ,Health has one ,Education and Human resource has 3 and Business and Economics has one.
A total of 24 students will graduate with Masters from various faculties.
Bachelor of Education has the highest number of of Degree graduands with a total number of 509. A total of 1129 will be graduating with Bachelors Degrees ,Diploma holders will be 126 and certificate holders will be 40.
