The Citizen TV has aired the genesis of the Mckenzie Church- SHAKAHOLA.
Roseline Asena the affected sister to one of Mckenzie followers ,a brother , has narrated a horrifying episode of his brother who left alcoholism and got addicted with the Mckenzie opium.
Asena said that her brother celebrated the covid crisis that led to closure of schools in 2020.
Betty , another victim of Mckenzie faith narrates her story. She said that the church began in their home where they knew Mckenzie.
After sometime Mckenzie told them that weaving hair is a crime . Betty left.
Her sister was convinced by Mckenzie that children should not be taken to school , no medication and only worship.
The sister later told Betty that they will meet in heaven , let them remain in Mckenzie church.
They hardly survived on one meal a day.
The children were the first casualties , followed by the sister then Mckenzie was to be the last to die.
The parents are aware and there’s nothing much they would do.
The mother only pleaded to be given bodies of her beloved daughter.
Mckenzie was given the go head to start the church at Betty’s home.
Mckenzie was a good man at the beginning .
However when the Mckenzie moved to Furunzi , he allover sudden changed.
At Furunzi he began teaching cult and related items like no lady should weave hair.
Mckenzie initially asked for offerings and tithe.
He was a taxi driver who had limited resources.
In her opinion Betty , confirms that Mckenzie can kill.
