To get the weighted cluster points ,you need to determine ;
1.Raw cluster points .
2.Basic aggregate points.
The raw cluster points is the maximum points for four subjects .This can be up to 48points,for example ,if one scores grade A plain in Biology,Chemistry, physics or mathematics, English or Kiswahili that will be maximum 48 points considering A plan has 12 points.
Basic aggregate point is the aggregate value of a student’s grade. For example ,you could have a mean grade of A- minus of 80 points or even 74 points.
The following is the work out formula ,x/48 multiply by Y/84. The formula refers to points obtained in the four main subjects, for example for one to qualify for medicine the subjects required are Biology,chemistry, Physics /Mathematics and English/Kiswahili. Y refers to mean grade for the seven subjects your were graded.
Secondly ,find the square root of your answer.
After that multiply what you get by 48.
It therefore means for one to qualify in the field of medicine ,you need Grade A in the compulsory subjects. Atleast a student needs to score an average of B+ plus in the four subjects and one shouldn’t score any of them below B plain.
