As per today the Health Ministry has announced 646 cases of people who had tested positive from a sample size if 6039 in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate now stands at 10.7%. The total positive cases stands at 299009.
Out of the 646 cases ,620 were Kenyans while 26 are foreigners.
In terms of county distribution, Nairobi had the highest numbers with 207,Garissa 74,Kitui 68,Kiambu 42,Nakuru 25,Machakos 24,Kajiado 23,Mombasa 21,Muranga 18,Marsabit 15,Nyeri 14,kwale 12,Meru 11,Nandi 11,Makueni 11,Embu 10,Uasin Gishu 7,Narok 7,Kakamega 6,Tana River 5,Turkana 5
So far 30 patients have lost there lives,now pushing the total fatalities to 4497.
A total number if 2063 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide while 9024 are under home based isolation.
So far the Vaccination exercise is on going and the government advisory is that all civil civil servants should now get the dose .As per yesterday 13050 were vaccinated for the first dose while 794 received the second dose.
