Bosamaro ward is one of the 20 wards in Nyamira County in West Mugirango constituency.
The ward is divided into two Locations that’s Bosamaro Masaba and Bosamaro chache. Bosamaro Masaba has Kegogi and Enchoro sub locations while Bosamaro chache has Bigege and Ikobe sub locations.
Bosamaro ward is one of the expansive wards in Nyamira with a total number of 17084 voters as per the records of Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission in 2017. As the commission prepares for the August 2022 elections the numbers may go up because the commission is planning to carry out mass voter registration exercise starting early next month.

Ting’a DEB primary is the largest polling station with 1948 registered voters while Kegogi DEB primary polling station has the smallest with 340 registered voters.
Candidature
Bosamaro ward has been attracting so many candidates in the previous elections ,the predecessor under the county government dispensation Honourable Boniface Ombori took over with almost 4200 votes. In 2017 ,It was a heated health competition where the incumbent garnered almost 3200,followed by Naom Nyaechero who garnered 2800 and then Boniface Ombori garnered 2600.
So far the 2017 race has attracted a number of contestants and each has shown a health competition in the upcoming elections.
Some of them are youthful aspirants who include Richard Masese,Naom Nyaechero ,Joshua Onchenge ,John Kebaso and Kepha Nyakundi. The middle aged candidates include the incumbent Honourable Charles Keganda ,Boniface Ombori,Stephen Monyenye and Nicholas Gisemba. Many are expected to join the race as time goes by.
